Tuesday's high school baseball and softball slate featured decisive victories and key conference matchups across the region.

On the baseball diamond, City League play saw Obama Academy secure a commanding 12-0 win over Carrick in a game shortened to five innings. Westinghouse also claimed a high-scoring victory, defeating Perry 13-8. In a pivotal WPIAL Class 6A Section 1 contest, Butler edged out Central Catholic in a tight 2-1 pitchers' duel, a result with potential playoff implications.
