On May 2, Watertown-Mayer’s middle and high school Unified Sports clubs hosted their fifth annual Unified Soccer Invitational, creating an inclusive and vibrant atmosphere for students across the region. The event took place at the school's varsity football stadium and featured teams from Waconia and Wayzata High Schools, who joined in the spirit of friendly competition.
The day was filled with excitement as students showcased their skills on the soccer field, fostering camaraderie and sportsmanship. The Unified Sports program aims to provide students with and without intellectual disabilities the opportunity to participate in sports together, promoting inclusion and teamwork.
