Expanding Opportunities in Sports for Youth

Last week, the Kraken and their One Roof Foundation hosted a ball hockey skills clinic and games as part of the fifth annual Pro Sports Sampling Camp. This event, organized by the King County Play Equity Coalition in collaboration with the city’s professional sports teams, aims to introduce young athletes to a diverse range of sports.
The clinic provided an opportunity for children to learn the fundamentals of ball hockey, fostering teamwork and sportsmanship. Participants engaged in various drills and games designed to enhance their skills while having fun. The event not only highlighted the importance of physical activity but also encouraged inclusivity in sports, allowing kids from different backgrounds to come together and share their love for athletics.
By promoting access to hockey and other sports, the Kraken and its partners are making significant strides in ensuring that all children have the chance to participate in physical activities.
