Jose Ramirez continued his strong start to the season, crossing the plate twice in the Guardians' latest victory. The All-Star third baseman reached base in each of his first three trips to the plate, setting the table for Cleveland's offense to break through against a tough opposing starter.

Ramirez singled in the first inning and came around to score on a two-out double to right-center. He then worked a walk in the third and moved to third on a base hit before scoring on a sacrifice fly. That gave the Guardians a lead they would not surrender, as the bullpen locked things down from the fifth inning on.

The two runs scored push Ramirez's season total to 14 through the first 18 games, which leads the team.
