The Baltimore Ravens are reportedly keeping a close watch on veteran wide receiver Stefon Diggs as he navigates free agency. According to league sources, the Ravens have been gathering information on Diggs' recovery and availability, though no formal offer has been made.
Diggs, who turns 31 in November, is coming off a torn ACL suffered in Week 8 of the 2024 season while playing for the Houston Texans. The injury required surgery and has put his timeline for the 2025 season in question. Some teams expect him to miss at least the first half of the regular season. Still, Baltimore's interest suggests they see potential value in a midseason addition.
The Ravens have been searching for a reliable target opposite Zay Flowers. Rashod Bateman showed flashes last year but has dealt with consistency and injury issues. Adding a proven route runner like Diggs could give Lamar Jackson a dangerous weapon in the second half of the season, assuming Diggs recovers fully.
Diggs has recorded over 1,000 receiving yards in six of the last seven seasons. His best years came in Buffalo, where he posted four straight 1,100-yard campaigns. However, his time in Houston ended abruptly after just eight games. The Texans traded for him in the 2024 offseason, but the knee injury cut his season short.
Baltimore has roughly $11 million in salary cap space, according to league data. That figure could increase with restructures or cuts. The team has also been linked to other veteran receivers, including Keenan Allen and Tyler Boyd. But Diggs offers a unique blend of experience and route precision that could fit well in Todd Monken's offense.
No deal is imminent. The Ravens are taking a patient approach, waiting to see how Diggs' rehab progresses before making any commitment. For now, they remain in the background, keeping tabs on one of the most accomplished receivers on the market.
